Tigers under pressure
Bangladesh will be looking to bounce back from their morale-shattering defeat when they take on a rapidly improving Zimbabwe side in the second ODI of the five-match Grameenphone Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium today.
A five-wicket loss to start a home series against Zimbabwe was not probably what the Tigers were expecting, but it was Zimbabwe who took the challenge to Bangladesh and now the home side find their work cut out with the expectations of a better all-round performance from them.
Bangladesh have made just one change to the side from the one that played in the first game. Though not a tactical one, Nazmul Hossain's inclusion at the expense of speedster Rubel Hossain is expected to give the home side more advantage when early swing is on offer from the Kookaburra ball.
Zimbabwe, though, have been forced to make a change to their winning side, their skipper Prosper Utseya, who did his ankle while fielding during the first game, was on crutches yesterday and will play the part of a mere spectator. Hamilton Masakadza will fill in the boots of Utseya while his replacement was not announced.
State-run Bangladesh Television, apart from international satellite channel SuperSport7, will telecast the day-night match live from 2:30 pm.
