Milon reaches archery final

Local archer Imdadul Haq Milon booked the final spot of the men's individual 70m-recurve bow in the 5th Asian Archery Grand Prix after beating his respective rival in the semis at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan in Savar yesterday.
Milon recorded a 108-106 win over Indian Pawan Xalxo, who yesterday stunned Bangladesh's gold medallist Sajjad Hossain to force the local competitor to an early exit.
Now, Milon will play the final against Indian Tarun Dip, who advanced into the final defeating his compatriot Kapil by a narrow one-point margin as Tarun won the semifinal 108-107 points against Kapil. The final will take place today.
Kapil, however, grabbed the recurve bow's bronze medal beating Pawan 110-107.
In the women's individual recurve bow, it is an all-India clash as Dola Bannerjee and Belshree moved into the final beating their compatriots Pronita and Devi respectively.
Dola beat Pronita 109-105 while Belshree defeated 108-103 in the semifinals.
Devi, however, finished third in the event with a 106-95 win over Pronita.
Aungni of Myanmar won the gold medal in the women's compound bow with a 114-113 win over Iranian Saida while La Sun of Myanmar grabbed bronze medal beating Indian
