Bank Asia launches scholarship scheme

Bank Asia Ltd yesterday launched a scholarship programme for higher education in Munsiganj district.
Bank Asia Vice Chairman A Rouf Chowdhury inaugurated the scholarship scheme at a function at the bank's Malkhanagar branch in Sirajdikhan upazila.
Kamrul Hasan, a student of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (Ruet), received Tk 28,000 at the function as scholarship. The private commercial bank will also bear all educational expenses up to master's level of the student.
Among others, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Enamul Haque, Managing Director of the bank Syed Anisul Haque and social worker Mahiuddin Ahmed also spoke at the function.
The authorities announced all branches of Bank Asia will offer the scholarship to poor and meritorious students to help continue their higher studies.
