Monitor launches Chef of the Year competition
The Bangladesh Monitor, a travel fortnightly, yesterday launched a chef of the year competition in association with Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC).
The third version of the competition styled ' Monitor-Malaysian Palm Oil Chef of the year 2007' will be organised to promote the local food dishes at home and abroad, Kazi Wahidul Alam, the journal's editor, told a press conference in Dhaka.
Interested persons may send recipes by December 20 in two categoriesprofessional chef and amateur chef.
The finale of the competition is due in mid-January next where winners from the two groups will be given Tk 10,000 each as prize money. Nutritionist Siddiqa Kabir will be the chief of the jury board for the competition.
