MCA start 4-day match strongly
Maharashtra Cricket Association ended day one of the four-day match against visiting Bangladesh A in a strong position with 309 runs on the board and two wickets sill remaining.
Winning the toss, the hosts opted to bat first at the Pune Club Limited ground yesterday in the first 4-day match of the tour. And that decision was vindicated as their batsmen played out 89 overs to be bowled on day one scoring at a brisk rate of 3.47 runs per over. Ankit Bawane top-scored with 67 runs while Ameya Shirkhande added 52 for the hosts. Dollar Mahmud, Suhrawardi Shuvo, and Faisal Hossain bagged two wickets each for the tourists.
Earlier, Bangladesh A drew their first 3-day warm-up match with Maharashtra Cricket Association under-22 side.
