Eng bowled out for 146

New Zealand closed in on a Champions Trophy semifinals place by bowling England out for 146 in the final Group B match at the Wanderers Tuesday.
The Black Caps need one point to reach the knockout phase at the expense of Sri Lanka and the odds suggest they will collect both as England failed to build on surprise victories over Sri Lanka and hosts South Africa.
Ravaged by injuries that have forced bowlers Daryl Tuffey and Jacob Oram and batsman Jesse Ryder to return home, New Zealand struck after just two balls to send skipper Andrew Strauss back to the pavilion for a duck.
The total would have been more depressing for England had Kiwi skipper Daniel Vettori not reversed a run out decision against Paul Collingwood with England tottering on 27-3 inovercast conditions.
Collingwood went on to make 40, the highest score, before being caught by Ross Taylor off the bowling of South Africa-born Grant Elliott, who revelled in the conditions and claimed 4-31 off eight overs.
There was also an unexpected late bonus for England with tail-ender Ryan Sidebottom adding 20, including three boundaries, before Taylor caught him off the bowling of Vettori.
