8 members of 'Aggyan Party' arrested

Detectives arrested eight members of "Aggyan Party" in the capital on Thursday night.
The arrestees are Babul, Rafiqul Islam, Saidul Islam, Rabiul Islam, Alamgir Sarder, Sabuj Sarder, Alam, and Babul Chowdhury. They were sent to jail yesterday.
The law enforcers also seized achar (pickle) and halua (sweetmeat) mixed with sedatives from the arrestees. They make people unconscious by entertaining them with these.
Acting on a tip-off, the DB police halted an Uttara-bound passenger bus at Shahbagh at 9:00pm and arrested the "Aggyan Party" members.
During interrogation, the arrestees told police that they were involved in mugging and stealing rickshaws and auto-rickshaws in the city.
