Emirates reaches Canada
Emirates Airline's inaugural Dubai-Toronto flight EK241 on Monday reached Toronto, marking Emirates' first destination in Canada, and the first ever non-stop service between Dubai and Toronto, says a press release.
Dignitaries onboard the inaugural flight included Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group; Hassan M.I. Al Suwaidi, UAE ambassador to Canada; and Sara Hradecky, Canadian ambassador to the UAE.
Emirates launched two new non-stop flights from Dubai, a three-times-a-week service to Toronto, and a six-a-week service to Ahmedabad, India, expanding its global route network to 97 cities in 61 countries.
