Popular Bangladeshi singer Nancy was discharged from hospital today, 19th August after being hospitalised for a failed suicide attempt.
Nancy and her family reached their Moghbazar flat by 1:00pm. The decision for her discharge was fixed last night by Dr. Forhad.
This was confirmed by hospital coordinator Dr. Ali Abrar. He also went on to say that Nancy has almost made a complete recovery and there is no cause for concern.
He said that during the duration of her stay, she was only sleeping. This was mainly because of her intake of 60 sleeping tablets which require some time to wear off.
Rumors suggest that her failed suicide attempt may be have been caused by her husband Jayeed, but both Nancy’s family and husband are denying any such claims, and since Nancy is yet to speak on this matter, it can’t be proven.
She was found unconscious, after having consumed 60 sleeping tablets, and presumed in critical condition and was first admitted to Netrokona Modern Hospital and later that night, Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. When she needed better treatment, she was moved to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 1 A.M. before finally admitting her to LabAid Hospital.
