Former Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq’s reclaiming of the capital’s Tejgaon-Satrasta road from blatant encroachment by illegally parked trucks and vans became such a part of his legacy that after his demise, the road was named after him. However, heavy vehicles have since returned to take up the road again and again, with the authorities seemingly having no long-term answer to the nuisance. The photo was taken last week.
