Carrying a heap of jute, a farmer arrives at a temporary market in Uthhuli area of Manikganj’s Shivalaya upazila. Jute growers in Manikganj have had a good yield this year and they are selling per maund of the fibre for Tk 1,800-2,000 at 10 such markets in the district.
