An illegal dockyard in the capital’s Muktarpur, Keraniganj, not only occupies the bank of the Buriganga, but also has its launch ramp fenced well into the river. The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority clearly fails to deter the encroachment. The photo was taken yesterday.
