Mount Fuji is one of the most beautiful sites in the world and one of the most respected deities in Japanese folklore. The Japanese often say that you need to be lucky to see Mt. Fuji in all her glory. Luck was with me this year and one autumn dawn, the mountain showed herself. She felt like a giant looking over our puny lives — omnipresent — waiting for the perfect day to erupt. PHOTO & TEXT: FARHAN ZAHIN
