Media Cup underway

It was a starry start for The Daily Star in the Kool-BSJA Media Cup six-a-side football tournament that began at the BFF artificial turf field in Motijheel yesterday.
They recorded a 'facile' 1-0 win over Dainik Sangram with Abul Kalam Azad, a star cricketer and table tennis player, scoring the all important goal.
In the day's other matches, reigning champions RTV defeated New Age 2-0, Channel 24 were 2-0 winners over Dainik Bortoman, Dhaka Tribune routed Dainik Naya Diganta 4-0 and MyTV beat Gazi TV 1-0 while three matches ended in scoreless draws.
