Mashrafe set to play against WI

While Rubel Hossain, who injured a finger, was officially replaced by Ziaur Rahman yesterday, pacer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is likely to play the game against the West Indies tomorrow despite having torn a soft tissue on the right side of his body.
According to the team's physio, Mashrafe's availability in the game will depend upon the player's extent of pain, something which the team management will decide during training today.
"He had some pain but that did not stop him from bowling. He bowled six overs [during training yesterday]. If the pain does not increase or it does not flare up, he could be okay for the game, We are giving it time till tomorrow morning," said Vibhav.
While the pacer may go on to play the first game, it could be a tough ask for him to recover for the remaining three games as their matches are scheduled for every alternate day. Therefore, the team management is expected to assess Mashrafe's fitness on a match-by-match basis.
