Man with coronavirus symptoms dies in Rangamati isolation centre

A 55-year-old man with coronavirus symptoms, who was in an isolation centre at Rangamati General Hospital, died early today.
The patient breathed his last at the hospital around 2:00am, said Bipash Khisa, civil surgeon of Rangamati.
The man, hailing from Rupnagar of the district town, was admitted to Rangamati General Hospital on April 10 as he was suffering from fever, cold, cough and respiratory problems, said the civil surgeon.
Later, he was shifted to the isolation centre of the hospital, our Rangamati correspondent reports quoting Bipash Khisa.
The hospital authorities collected samples from the deceased to ensure whether he was infected with coronavirus, the official said.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased were asked to remain under home quarantine, the civil surgeon added.
