Malouda signs for Metz
Former French international midfielder Florent Malouda has signed a one-year contract, with an option for a second season, to play for Metz in the French first division.
Malouda has been without a club since leaving Turkish side Trabzonspor in August due to a disagreement with manager Vahid Halilhodzic.
The 34-year-old left-sided player started his career in 1997 with Chateauroux before joining Brittany side Guincamp.
His career took off when he signed for Lyon in 2003 and he then moved to Chelsea in 2007, staying six years at Stamford Bridge before transferring to Turkey.
He won 80 caps for France between 2004 and 2012.
