Logo of “Lakho Konthe Shonar Bangla” unveiled

Recreating the spirit of nationalism, 3 lakh people will celebrate the 43rd Independence Day of Bangladesh by singing the national anthem of Bangladesh. Minister of Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor, MP announced that the event titled “Lakho Konthe Shonar Bangla” will be held on March 26, 2014 at the National Parade Square. The minister made this announcement at an event held at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy yesterday. Minister of Information Hasanul Haq Inu, MP; Secretary of Ministry of Cultural Affairs Dr. Ranjit Kumar Biswas, ndc; Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division Lieutenant General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, ndc, psc; GOC of 9th Division Major Gen. Chowdhury Hasan Suhrawardy, Bir Bikram, NDC, PSC; Major General Ashraf Yusuf Abdullah, NDC, PSC Adjutant General Army HQ and Chief Coordinator of AFD Commodore Kazi Emdadul Haque DG, CMR, AFD were also present at the event along with other senior military and civil dignitaries.
Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Bangladesh government will play a key role as the initiator of “Lakho Konthe Shonar Bangla” with overall cooperation of Bangladesh Armed Forces Division. A possible participation of approximately 3 lakh people at the National Parade Square on the Independence Day will create a new official world record and make this event a success.
Apart from the announcement, the official logo of “Lakho Konthe Shonar Bangla” was also unveiled at the press conference. Minister of Cultural Affairs Asaduzzaman Noor and Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division unveiled the logo. A special website on the initiative was also launched at this event which can be visited at www.lakhokonthe.com
In this regard, Minister of cultural affairs Asaduzzaman Noor stated, “The main objective of this event is to celebrate our Independence Day in an innovative manner. We believe that a new found apprehension of nationalism will help to create a new world record.”
During the press conference, Lieutenant General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq, ndc, psc assured all possible assistance from the armed forces to make this event successful. He also mentioned the involvement of the armed forces in the event along with other details to organize this mega event.
Students from schools, colleges and universities, members of the armed forces along with people from all walks of life will sing the national anthem at the event to be held on March 26, 2014.
