Lightning kills four

At least four people, including a schoolgirl, were killed by lightning in Satkhira, Bagerhat and Pirojpur districts on Saturday.
In Satkhira, three people were killed and two others injured by lightning strike in Sadar and Shymnagar upazilas on Saturday afternoon, reports our correspondent.
The deceased are Abdus Sattar, 43, son of Abdur Jabbar Dhali of Umrapara area in Sadar upazila and Sakina Bibi, 30, and Rashida Khatun, 28 of Shymnagar upazila.
Witnesses said the lightning hit the victims while they were cutting paddy at the field around 2:00pm.
According to our Pirojpur correspondent, a schoolgirl was killed as the thunderbolt struck her in Bhandaria upazila of the district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Sadia, daughter of Sumon Hawlader and a student of class four at 16 No Pasharibunia Government Primary School in the upazila.
