Lightning kills 2 kids in Kushtia

Two children were killed and two others injured by lightning at Satbaria village in Bheramara upazila in Kushtia yesterday.
Sayem Hossain, 8, son of Humayun Ahmed; and Ivana Khatun, 11, daughter of Abdul Zalil of Satbaria, were declared dead at Bheramara Upazila Health Complex on arrival.
Sagar Hossain, 7, son of Ashraf Ali; and Gini Khatun, 10, daughter of Hasan Ali of the village, were undergoing treatment at Kushtia Medical College Hospital.
Police and family sources said the four children fell to the ground after a thunderbolt struck them while they along with six others were playing on a filed during downpour around 12:30pm.
