Law enforcers to give foolproof security to T20 players
Law enforcement agencies, including Rapid Action Battalion, will provide foolproof security to the players and officials of participating nations during the ICC T20 World Cup 2014 beginning today in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
On how to act sharply in rescuing players if any unwanted incident happens at the venue, highly trained Rab men along with the army demonstrated their capabilities in the capital's Bangladesh Army Stadium yesterday, says a Rab press release.
They staged the demonstration with chopper, dog squad and bomb disposal equipment, while high officials of Rab and Bangladesh Cricket Board attended it.
Alongside other law enforcers, Rab will provide security in and outside three stadiums in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet during the event. It will also escort players and officials from hotels to the venue and vice versa and provide security during their stay in hotels.
