KCC kicks off faecal sludge management

Khulna City Corporation (KCC) formally launched Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) programme yesterday with the technical support of SNV Nederlands Development Organisation.
Under “Demonstration of pro-poor market based solutions for faecal sludge management in urban centers of Southern Bangladesh,” this project is being funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the UK Department for International Development.
This is the first city level FSM programme where innovative interventions in the entire sanitation value chain will be analysed and developed.

KCC, Khulna Water and Sewerage Authority, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Khulna University and Water Aid will be associated with this project.
