''Jibondhuli'' set for Int'l Fest in Delhi

''Jibondhuli'' set for Int'l Fest in Delhi

Director Tanvir Mokammel's latest feature film “Jibondhuli”, based on Bangladesh's Liberation War, has been invited to the 3rd Delhi International Film Festival to be held  from 20th-27th December, 2014.

The Festival Committee, chaired by renowned South Indian filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, has also invited film-maker Tanvir to attend the festival. Thirty films from 12 countries will be shown in the festival.

Last week, the film received the “Abdul Jabbar Khan Smriti Padak” as the best film of this year by the Diploma Engineers Forum of Bangladesh. The award was handed over to Tanvir by State Minister for Information Hasanul Huq Inu.

Besides Tanvir, other awardees were director Tareque Masud (posthumously), veteran actor Razzak for their achievements in cinema, and Ferdousi Majumder and Mamunur Rashid for their contribution to theatre.
