Today is the 10th death anniversary of Ivy Rahman, former women's affairs secretary of Awami League.
On this occasion, a milad and a doa mahfil will be held in her house-22, road-108, Gulshan-2 residence in the capital today after Asr prayers.
Ivy's son, Nazmul Hasan Papon, also an Awami League lawmaker and president of Bangladesh Cricket Board, requested all relatives, friends and well-wishers to attend the doa mahfil, says a press release.
AL leaders will also visit her grave at Banani graveyard to pay homage.
On this day in 2004, Ivy, wife of late president Zillur Rahman, succumbed to splinter injuries that she suffered in the August 21 grenade attack on an AL rally on Bangabandhu Avenue.
