India won't allow use of its territory against Bangladesh

Says Pankaj Saran

Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Pankaj Saran yesterday said India would not allow its territory to be used for any activities “harmful” to Bangladesh.

India wishes to see a stable, peaceful and prosperous Bangladesh, he said, addressing the Golden Jubilee celebration of Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) and Indian Council for Cultural Relations Day at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.

President Abdul Hamid spoke on the occasion as chief guest.

Pankaj said India deeply valued its relations with Bangladesh.

“India and Bangladesh are two developing countries. We both have a large population of youth. We both wish to transform our economies and societies.”
