Local associations of workers and owners of transports went on an indefinite transport strike yesterday on Cox's Bazar-Chittagong and Cox's Bazar-Teknaf routes demanding release of two workers who were punished by a mobile court for illegal toll collection.
Local passengers and commuters suffered a lot as they had to look for alternative sources at higher fares.
