Idol vandalised at temple

Criminals vandalised an idol of a Hindu goddess at a temple in the district town on Sunday night.
Police arrested one Saiful Islam Sohag, 27, son of Abdul Khalek of Alaipur in the town for his alleged involvement with the incident yesterday morning. Sohag, is an accused in a case filed for vandalising the same temple in January this year.
Police and locals said, the devotees found the idol broken when they went to perform puja at the temple in Foujdaripara area yesterday morning.
