‘Please give all genuine cricket fans a chance to see the final’

New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham has made a public appeal to all the Indian fans who had bought the majority tickets of the World Cup final.

New Zealand defeated India by 18 runs in the first semifinal of the World Cup on Wednesday at Old Trafford in Manchester to make their way to a second consecutive final in the mega event. However, majority of the final tickets were bought by Indian fans, presuming a place for India in the final.

Black Caps all-rounder Neesham has concerns that Indian fans, who bought tickets for the final assuming India would be there, would now look to make a large profit from their unwanted seats.

"Dear Indian cricket fans. If you don't want to come to the final anymore then please be kind and resell your tickets via the official platform. I know it's tempting to try to make a large profit but please give all genuine cricket fans a chance to go, not just the wealthy." Tweeted Neesham.
