Pakistan can ‘definitely’ beat India, says Amir

One of the most anticipated games of this World Cup -- India against Pakistan -- will be played out in Manchester on Sunday. Ahead of this enthralling contest, Pakistan ace left-arm quick Mohammad Amir said that they will be going into the game with a positive mindset and also backed his team to win the game.

Pakistan lost their last game against Australia by 41 runs at The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton. However, Amir was impressive in the game, returning figures of five for 30 in 10 overs that also saw two maidens.

“All games are pressure games in the World Cup, same for India,” said Amir after the game against Australia.

The left-armer was also positive after the game against Australia as he said that Pakistan will be giving their all to win the remaining of their World Cup fixtures.

“We will have to come up with a positive mindset against India. We have to win every game from now and we will try our best.

“Definitely, we can beat India. Today [Wednesday] also our batting took the game deep. If we are abit more mentally strong, In Sha Allah we will win.” concluded Amir.

Pakistan have accumulated three points from the four games they played so far in the tournament and if they need to confirm a semifinal spot then the men in green need to get back to winning ways soon.
