England captain Eoin Morgan was in terrific form during their World Cup match against Afghanistan yesterday as the left-hander scored a career best 71-ball 148-run knock. The 32-year-old took on the Afghan bowling attack to notch the fourth fasted hundred in World Cup history off just 57 balls. Morgan lashed Afghanistan with 17 sixes, the new record for most maximums hit in an ODI innings, and four boundaries in total. Morgan’s ton guided England to 397 for six in fifty overs, the sixth highest total in World Cup history.
