HSC results on Aug 13
The results of this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on August 13.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid would hand over the copy of the results to the prime minister in the morning on that day, Subodh Chandra Dhali, deputy chief information officer of the ministry, told The Daily Star yesterday.
The minister would formally announce the results at a press conference in the education ministry later, he added.
A total of 1,141,374 examinees-- 606,293 boys and 535,081 girls-- from 8,104 institutions across the country had registered for the examinations under 10 educations boards.
Of them, over 9.24 lakh students sat HSC examinations under eight general education boards and some 2.11 lakh students took the examinations under the madrasa and technical boards.
The examinations began on April 3.
This year's HSC and its equivalent examinations saw some 1.28 lakh more students taking the examinations compared to last year.
