March for mother

In order to raise awareness on cervical cancer on the eve of 'Cervical Cancer Awareness Month 2016', Centre for Cancer Prevention and Research (CCPR) organised a rally yesterday titled 'March for Mother' from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) to Mirpur-10 in Dhaka city.

BSMMU, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College, Bangladesh Cancer Research Institute, Dhaka International University, Aid Foundation, CIHD, Aparajita, HRD, Himu Poribohon and many other organisations join the rally along with CCPR. Eminent cancer specialists and doctors joined the rally.

In this rally, awareness leaflets on cervical cancer were distributed. Dr. Md. Habibullah Talukder Ruskin, Coordinator, March for Mother and Associate Professor and Head of Cancer Epidemiology at National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital spoke in his inaugural speech that we all are born from the uterus of our mothers. But many women in our country are suffering from the disease and we hardly talk about the diseases. We don't know how to prevent this deadly disease.
