HC questions ACC's inaction to grill Biman CBA leaders
The High Court yesterday questioned the legality of the Anti Corruption Commission's inaction to investigate corruption allegations against 17 CBA leaders of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
After hearing a writ petition filed by Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh, the HC issued a rule upon the ACC to explain in two weeks why its inaction to grill the 17 Collective Bargaining Agency (CBA) leaders should not be declared illegal.
The petition says the ACC in January summoned the CBA leaders to its office on January 26 for interrogation. Though the CBA leaders did not appear in the ACC office, the commission has not take any action against them, it said.
