Hasina to visit Gaibandha tomorrow
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to visit Gaibandha tomorrow to inaugurate several development projects and lay the foundation stones of several others in the district.
She will also meet the victims of pre-and post polls violence at local Circuit House and gave financial assistance to the families of those who were killed and injured in the violence, said Ehsan-e-Elahi, deputy commissioner of Gaibandha.
In the afternoon, the prime minister will inaugurate fire service and civil defence station and textile vocational Institute in Gobindaganj upazila, six food godowns in the district town , and Saghata, Palashbari and Sundarganj upazila health complexes, which have been upgraded to 50 beds.
She will lay the foundation stones of two buildings of Palashbari and Phulchhari police stations, district Muktijoddha Sangshad complex, Gobindaganj upazila livestock development centre, Gaibandha technical training centre, a bridge over the Teesta Rriver in Sundarganj upazila, and the gallery extension of Gaibandha Shah Abdul Hamid Stadium.
The prime minister will address a public rally at Gaibandha Stadium at 4:30pm. Awami League district unit General Secretary Abu Bakkar Siddique said at least five lakh people are expected to attend the rally.
