Hasina addresses nation today

President of ruling Awami League Sheikh Hasina would address the nation today.
State-run Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar would air the speech.
Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Abul Kalam Azad confirmed it to The Daily Star yesterday.
Earlier, AL leaders had said Hasina would address the nation on Friday.
But she changed the date due to the restrictions imposed by the Election Commission.  
In accordance with the electoral law, all sorts of campaigns are forbidden 48 hours before the voting starts.
The restriction of 48 hours starts at 8:00am on January 3.
