Hartal peaceful in Dhaka

In Dhaka city, public vehicles were seen with buses of Motijheel, Gulistan, Jatrabari, Sayedabad, Gulshan, Uttara and Mirpur routes plying on roads. Private cars were also seen plying in plenty numbers.
Most of the shops and establishments were open. Office-goers were seen in their usual routine packing buses and other public vehicles to arrive at their offices.
Policemen were seen deployed through all key points inside the city. Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members were seen patrolling the streets frequently.
The other districts under the spell of daylong hartal are Gazipur, Tangail, Manikganj, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Narsingdi, Kishoreganj and Mymensingh, Natore and Feni.
