GEORGE NOLFI TO DIRECT BRUCE LEE BIOPIC BIRTH OF THE DRAGON
Bruce Lee's life was first recounted in the 1993 biopic, Dragon: The Bruce Lee story. Now his story will again appear on the big screen in a much more unconventional biopic, Birth of the Dragon. Now, George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau) has signed on to direct a new project, which has been described as an 'origin story' of sorts. Quoting the filmmakers, ”The film is inspired by the true story of Bruce Lee's historic 1965 duel with Wong Jack Man, China's most famous kung fu master at a time when San Francisco's Chinatown was controlled by Hong Kong Triads. The story of the match is told from the perspective of Steve Macklin, a young disciple of Lee, who ultimately joins forces with Lee and Wong to battle a vicious band of Chinatown gangsters.”

QUENTIN TARANTINO filming "The Hateful Eight" despite script leak
Despite a script leak earlier this year, director Quentin Tarantino's 9th movie will reportedly start filming November 2014. Since the script was leaked online, the acclaimed director shelved the project indefinitely in January and claimed to be moving on to another project. Reports that Tarantino would be reworking the script started appearing following a
celebrity-filled reading of the leaked draft in Los Angeles last month. Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Kurt Russell, James Remar, Amber Tamblyn, Walt Goggins, and Zoe Bell are all set to star in the Western
following their involvement in the public script reading.

WOULD LOVE TO DO CHARACTER-DRIVEN FILMS AKSHAY KUMAR

Jason Momoa Is Aquaman!
Jason Momoa will play the role of Arthur Curry (Aquaman) in the Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice film! However, Aquaman has been a major character in DC's post-millennial movement – including the New 52 Continuity reboot. DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer (and comic book creator) Geoff Johns has maintained vague teases that Aquaman is headed for the mainstream - while fans have been expressing more and more confidence that an Aquaman movie could be great. Now, there is a name attached to the Aquaman role, and its Game of Thrones and Conan star, Jason Momoa.

Josh Brolin is Thanos in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy'
Marvel has just cast Josh Brolin as Thanos, who first appeared in the mid-credits scene of The Avengers. It has since been teased that Thanos is acting as an over-arching villain whose machinations and presence will be felt all throughout Marvel films – especially in a film like Guardians of the Galaxy, which further introduces Marvel's cosmic characters and storylines. For Brolin, this marks a fifth comic book role he's taken on in the last few years. He played DC's Jonah Hex (2010); the young version of Agent K in Men in Black 3; the lead in Spike Lee's American remake of Oldboy; and he will soon play a pre-surgery version of Clive Owen's character in the prequel/interquel film Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Of course, when it comes to playing an iconic villain like Thanos, Brolin is definitely stepping to the next level of comic book flicks.

First Look: Salman Khan to sport superhero look in 'KICK'
After months of speculations, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan`s look in his upcoming flick `Kick` has finally been revealed. In the poster, `Dabangg` Khan is seen wearing a body hugging sweatshirt with a hood and a superhero mask. The first look has made certain that the movie is yet another addition to Bollywood`s superhero saga. Salman Khan will reportedly be seen performing dangerous action sequences in the upcoming flick, which will be very different from what he has been doing in his earlier films.
World War Z sequel finds its screenwriter
World War Z, the surprise hit of last summer, has landed a screenwriter for its sequel. Steven Knight, who also wrote Eastern Promises and Dirty, Pretty Things has been confirmed as the man to keep the zombie excitement rolling. The first film was plagued with negative stories revolving around star, Brad Pitt, and director, Marc Foster, not getting along, script re-writes, the release date being pushed back and reshoots. Surprisingly, World War Z proved to be an edge of your seat thriller with awesome visual stunts, great characters and some really great moments of suspense. To be directed by J.A. Bayona (The Impossible and The Orphanage), he will work closely with Knight on the script. The script, at this point, is being kept confidential, but they will still be working off of the main source material; Max Brooks' novel.
