Govt to complete its term: Ashraf

Awami League General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam today said the next parliamentary election will be held after the government completes its five-year tenure.

"The tenure of our government will be expired after January 28, 2019, before that no election will be held," Ashraf said while addressing a meeting of AL central working committee, the highest decision making body of the ruling party.

"Despite all the pressure, the election will be held according to constitution," Ashraful said in presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the president of AL, who chaired the meeting at Gono Bhaban.
