Govt knows officials who met Khaleda
The government has details of the government officials who "secretly" met BNP chief Khaleda Zia Thursday night, State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan said yesterday.
"Action will be taken against the officials upon investigation," he told reporters after inauguration of Bangladesh Chhatra League's "Save Campus, Clean Campus" campaign at Tejgaon Government College in the capital.
Some officials, long made officers on special duty (OSDs), met Khaleda at her Gulshan office.
Declining to name the officials, the minister said the intelligence agencies knew about it beforehand.
At the programme, Asaduzzaman called upon the BCL men to clean their minds too.
Though BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir denied occurrence of such a meeting, Khaleda's press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel admitted it.
