Swadhin Bangla Betar Artist Nasreen

With such ordinary equipment they made so many extraordinary programmes, wonders Nasreen Ahamad, an English news caster and singer of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra.

Nasreen, now the Pro-Vice Chancellor of University of Dhaka, was told whether she can work as news presenter at the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra in Baliganj of #Kolkata, India early June of #LiberationWar1971. There on the very day of her arrival she was auditioned very shortly by illustrious filmmaker Alamgir Kabir (1938- 1989), got selected and later recorded her first news casting for the radio station which was broadcasted in the evening.
