Four kids drowned in Sirajganj, Pabna and Jamalpur districts on Tuesday and Sunday.

Two children drowned in Sirajganj and Pabna on Tuesday, reports our Pabna correspondent.

The deceased are Abdul Barek, 3, son of Khoka of Chala in Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj and Sanjida Khatun, 6, daughter of Idris Mollah of village Nikarhata in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna.

Locals said, Barek fell in a pond while playing beside it and drowned on Tuesday noon. Locals found the body floating in the water and recovered it in the  afternoon.

Meanwhile, Sanjida drowned in a pond at her grandfather's residence at Baharpur village in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna on Tuesday afternoon when she came to visit her relatives.

In Jamalpur, two minor girls drowned in the Jhinai River at village Modhyerchar in Melandah upazila on Sunday afternoon, reports our correspondent.

The deceased, identified as Sumaiya, 8, daughter of Sultan and China, 6, daughter of Tasher Sheikh of village Modhyerchar under Charbanipakuria union of the upazila, were Class Two and Class One students.

Locals and family sources said, the two girls went to the river for taking a bath at around 2.30pm. At one stage, they went to the deep water of the river and drowned.
