- Referring to exploding an Indian aircraft with dynamite in Lahore, Awami League chief Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman expresses his astonishment in a statement in Dhaka saying, it is an effort to create anomalous situation by sabotaging peaceful transfer of power in the country by a vested quarter. He requests the general people to be aware of the situation.
- After the blast in an Indian aircraft by Kashmir commandos, Indian government prohibits Pakistani military aircrafts to fly over their territory. Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi blames Pakistan for this action and states, such encouragement will bring fatal consequences for Pakistan.
- Jamiyate Ulema, a representative body from Pakistan meets Awami League chief Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Dhaka. In the meeting they discuss current political situation and future governance policy of the state. Both parties agree to hold national assembly at the earliest possible.
- Pakistan Council Muslim League Chief Mia Momtaj Doulatana says, his party will keep on trying to maintain understanding among the state’s leading political parties and power bodies regarding any questions raised about the governance policies. He says those who are speaking of dispute between Awami League and People ’s Party or people from East and West Pakistan are thinking of creating unnecessary confusion at such crucial time.
- Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party Bhutto meets the President General Aga Mohammad Yahya Khan at Karachi presidential office. For quite some time they discuss governance policy and other issues.
