FDI in Bangladesh rises

The inflow of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Bangladesh has gone up by 24 percent in 2013 despite the country witnessed serious political unrest and anti-business climate during the period.
The ‘World Investment Report’ of the Unctad, released on Tuesday, said Bangladesh received $1,599 million FDI last year. The country holds second place after India in South Asia in drawing FDI last year.
