Export, import thru' Benapole resume

Export-import through Benapole land port resumed yesterday as Indian truckers withdrew their indefinite strike.
Bongaon truck Drivers Union went on an indefinite strike on Monday protesting what they said was Benapole port authorities' failure to trace the Indian trucker and the helper who went missing along with a truck loaded with imported goods from the port on March 11.
The Indian truckers called off their strike after they were confirmed that the missing Indian truck driver and helper were caught by Bangladeshi police from Navaron in Jessore on March 19 while the duo were carrying Phensedyl from India.
The traders, truckers, workers of Bangladesh and India are scheduled to sit in a meeting tomorrow at India's Petropole port to discuss on different issues.
