Plant trees, get rewarded by The Daily Star
Rapid urbanization has resulted in a quickly degrading environment. As trees are being cut down faster than ever, the city continues to lose a vital lifeline.
And in order to make this city and in turn Bangladesh a better place to live, there is no alternative but work towards protecting our environment.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, The Daily Star and Anwar Landmark have taken a joint initiative called ‘Let’s Go Green’.
This campaign aims at inspiring the people and rewarding responsible Bangladeshi citizens who are working for this cause.
Readers have been asked on The Daily Star’s official Facebook page to submit photos of any kind of gardening activity they are involved in that contributes in increasing tree cover.
So far, 170 submissions were made by enthusiastic readers.
To participate in this contest, please visit: http://www.thedailystar.net/letsgogreen/.
The top 5 most voted posts will be featured in The Daily Star’s digital platforms and rewarded with a token of appreciation. The campaign will last until June 12, 2017.
