Mosquito menace: Mymensingh City Corporation release 2000 frogs in canal
To protect city dwellers from mosquito menace, authorities of Mymensingh City Corporation have released 2000 frogs in a canal of the city today.
Ikramul Haque Titu, mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation, today inaugurated the project by primarily releasing 2000 frogs at Makarjan canal in the city's Harikishore Roy Road.
While talking with journalists, Mayor Ikramul said, "These frogs will breed in all drains, canals and reservoirs of the city in phases and will play a vital role in preventing the spread of mosquitoes by eating mosquito larvae."
