4 illegal brick kilns demolished, one fined Tk 5 lakh in Faridpur

A mobile court of the Department of Environment (DoE) today demolished four illegal brick kilns and fined another Tk five lakh in Faridpur.

Md Sadequr Rahman Sabuj, executive magistrate of the DoE's Dhaka office, conducted the drive at different brick kilns in Modhukhali and Sadar upazilas, reports our Faridpur correspondent.

During the daylong drive, the mobile court demolished three brick kilns in Modhukhali upazila and another in Sadar upazila for running illegally, said AHM Rashed, deputy director of the DoE in Faridpur.

The court also fined Sajid brick kiln Tk five lakh to in Sadar upazila for the same reason, added the deputy director.
