5.3-magnitude earthquake strikes north of Andaman in Bay of Bengal
A 5.3-magnitude earthquake has shaken the Bay of Bengal today. The quake struck at 3:19 am (UTC), according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicentre was reported 217km north of Bamboo Flat town of the southern Andaman district in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, India and 10km deep in the Bay of Bengal, according to the USGS website.
No casualties have been reported so far.
