Rahmat Ali and Wahida Mollick Jolly hospitalised with Covid-19
Noted theatre artistes Rahmat Ali and Wahida Mollick Jolly have been admitted to a private hospital after they were infected with Covid-19.
Both of them are Associate Professors at the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies, University of Dhaka. One of their colleagues, Ashiqur Rahman Leon, has confirmed the news to The Daily Star. Wahida Mollick Jolly is also a prominent cultural activist.
The couple was diagnosed with the virus on November 17. "They have been hospitalised on November 22, after their health deteriorated," says Leon. "Jolly ma'am is recovering, while Rahmat sir is slowly responding to treatment." He also added that Rahmat Ali has some complications in his kidney.
"I pray and hope for their fast recovery," he concludes.
