‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’ set for Cannes Film Festival debut
The teaser of the much-awaited film titled "Mujib: The Making of a Nation", based on Bangabandhu's life directed by veteran Indian filmmaker Shyam Benegal will be unveiled at the Cannes Market on May 19.
The makers are hoping to attract distributors at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
Arifin Shuvoo and Nusrat Imrose Tisha, who are starring in the film, are set to attend the teaser launch.
The venue of the prestigious festival have been decorated with posters of the film for the same.
The name and first official poster of the film were released on March 17 on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birthday. The poster is based on Bangabandhu's historic March 7th speech.
The shooting of "Mujib: The Making of a Nation" began in Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari at Goregaon of Mumbai in January this year after a delay for the Covid-19 pandemic. In February, Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud visited the film sets. In November last year, the cast and crew shot in Bangladesh.
